Sales FAQ
Can I modify the ExpressionEngine source code?
Yes. You can modify the code as long as it’s for your own use. If you are a web developer, you may modify the code to meet the requirements of a project. However, you may not re-distribute the modified files. Please read our License Agreement for more information.
Please be aware that while it does not violate the license to modify ExpressionEngine’s source code, it does mean that we cannot offer support for your installation and upgrades are more difficult. Instead of modifying the core, consider developing an add-on to do the job instead.
