Emails sent from the Communicate Page appear to be improperly encoded
This could be the result of using different preference settings for your site and email character sets. If, for instance, your site’s default character set preference is UTF-8, but your email character set is ISO-8859-1, emails sent from your Communicate page may not be encoded properly. Web browsers submit form data based on the page’s character set which results in a discrepancy.
In general, you should use the same character set for both preference settings, but in cases where you have a specific reason for not doing so, you can work around this by forcing the web browser to render the Communicate page in the target email character set. This will cause the web browser to submit the form data in the same character set you are choosing to use for the emails. This is normally accomplished in the browser’s “View” menu. Please check your browser’s documentation or Help menu to see how to forcibly render a page using a specific character set.
