Repeet - handling dates straddling midnight?

I have multiple events which end past midnight - eg, a party which begins on Friday night at 9 PM and ends Saturday morning at 2 AM. On a calendar or single entry page, this event should be displayed for Friday only. How can I implement this functionality?
