Hi!

I’m just wondering to buy EE with the Forum plugin.I know i can run forums on subdomain. But what about a standalone domain?
I really need to know this. Am i able to use the same method with domains, such as subdomains? Can i set the cookies right, to be logged in on every domain?

Hi Wintercounter,

Sorry for the delay. We’re just back from a holiday here in the United States and catching up on everything.

You can do everything you mentioned in your post but it will require the Multiple Site Manager (MSM) in addition to ExpressionEngine and the Discussion Forums. The MSM allows you to create additional Sites on your EE installation and you can assign these sites to different domains. The Discussion Forums work seamlessly with the MSM which would allow you to set up a discussion forum on a standalone domain.
