Some of the entries in my weblog are VERY long.  So I want some of these entries to break apart across pages. 

I did some research on the Pagination stuff, but I am a little confused.  How does EE know when to start a new page?  Is it after so many characters?  I noticed the multi_field option… does that mean I have to create a new field for every potential number of pages my article could have?  SO lets say I could have 10 pages… do I need to create 10 custom fields?  And if so… what if I only use 5 of the 10 fields to the links only show the 5?

I am a bit confused… it would seem that there would be some way to automatically create a new page after an entry got to be X length.  Please advise.

Ok, now how about a PlugIn that will strip all images from a post….

Do you mean that you have image tags within a text field and you want to get rid of them? There’s not one (a plugin) that I know of that specifically does this but I’m sure one could be created to do that.

There was one on the forums here just the other day which allows you to get the first instance of an image from a field and use it but I’m sure you could do things around the other way and get rid of all images by using some regex I guess.

Just found the link to the plugin I was referring to previously. This actually does something a little different but I reckon that a plugin could be made to do what you need though.

Hey is there ANY documentation for the Simple Pagination Plugin… I looked on their site and I cant find any of the syntax of exactly how it works… they only say its similar to the “standard EE pagination setup”

Hi Joe,

The usage instructions should be in the plugin itself so if you go to Admin->Utilities->Plugin Manager and then click on the Simple Pagination plugin name then you should see the instructions in there.
