I’m bidding on a job to do a website for a nonprofit professional organization. The CFP requests an option where a member of the organization can create a web page for the member (not a site, but a page).
I fear that this might overstep the EE licenese (don’t become weblogging host, nor offer hosting services to others)—I was reminded of license in this forum post.
This would be a single member page. I could see how it could go either way—an optional glorified, public view of member profile, where I tweak items in member profile and then create a template for display of same; any member of org can have this publically viewable member profile page that, for all intents and purposes, looks like a, well, page. Or you might consider what I just described to be “hosting” and therefore verboten.
I’d like a bit more guidance from you before I tell them that no, I’ll use EE as a tool for all their specs except this “member page” one, and will work around the EE license by offering them SomethingElse for the member page.
