Batch Image Upload

Hi all…

is there a way to ‘auto submit’ all the batch entries.

Im planning on having up to 300 images in each gallery (wedding shoots) - so the batch function is handy,  accept (at least for my purpose), it seems redundant to have to click on the ‘submit this entry’ button for each and every photo.

If it were only a dozen or so photos, I wouldnt mind.. but, for large quantities it is a real pain.

Is there another/better solution?

I made a plugin to handle that. It isn’t very refined, but it does work.

Would you be interested in it?

Erin, I’m interested too! Very smile

I’m currently using this js workaround: http://expressionengine.com/forums/viewthread/36379/

Attached.

Unfortunately, I don’t remember much about it. I does seem to look in the default gallery batch upload folder and take all the photos and put them all in the category you specified.

Good luck with it.

Oh ya, it’s a module not a plugin.

it seems to work except for one big bug: the extension field in the database is missing a dot for each image.

Are you sure the extension field requires a ‘.’?

If it does, that will be easy to fix.

yep I’m sure.

while you’re at it, do you think you can add some kind of ‘succes/error’ message when the process is finished?

Oh, you wanted me to fix it?

Unfortunately, I don’t have time right now to fix it. And I I only wrote this to suit my needs so I hadn’t intended to release it.

Please feel free to modify it to you hearts content.

I will take a look at it, but I am quite busy right now with 2 (hopefully 4 this week) contracts, two small kids and I’m moving, so it may be a few weeks until I can get around to it.

The module is quite simple though.
