I have to, again, just comment on how utterly humbling it is to have such a great bunch of sponsors supporting this class. I’ve thanked you all in private but want to again thank you in public - your support means a ton to me (and MsBoyink) as we look to take this experience on the road and bring another round of folks up to speed on EE.
I’m excited to see who will get to benefit from these scholarships this time!
Very cool of you all to sponsor places again, wishing the participants the best of luck and I know all the attendees are going to have a great time and learn a lot!
I also need to point out: EllisLab is also a sponsor, even though Leslie modestly left that out of the announcement. Thanks to Rick, Leslie, Derek and the rest of the crew!
Are there any plans to do Scolarships outside the US?
I think that the scholarship only covers the course and everything that is offered with it. You’re still responsible to get there. So, I would assume you could apply for a scholarship. But, you would have to pay for the travel expenses.
Not that I officially know or anything…but that would make sense.
If you can get yourself to the class and cover travel and lodging expenses - then you are eligible for the scholarship.
Tony - who posted earlier in this thread and was one of the first scholarship recipients - is from Trinidad, so the trend has already been established..
I’m guessing it’s too late to apply for one of the San Antonio scholarships?
I just started getting involved with expression engine this weekend and ran across this. What bad timing for me, oh well, maybe next time! I’m a native of San Antonio and have 3 more classes left for my AS in web development.
Congrats again guys! I look forward to meeting you all. Or, y’all….
Just a note - if you entered the giveaway, didn’t win, and would still like to come please email me. I have a discount code you can use to get the early bird pricing yet.
