This probably is a very basic question but I can’t find the solution.. sorry.

After making a post when logged in as a certain user inside of a user group for editing the page, the posts initial setting is “closed” and when in this group I can’t set it to “open” because there is just “closed” in the pulldown menu.

What setting handles this?

Sanity11, what that means is that you haven’t assigned a status group for the particular weblog you’re users are posting to. Once you’ve assigned a status group for that weblog, those users will see other choices.

NOTE: SuperAdmins don’t have this issue.

Hiya,

First make sure that you have a default status group set for the weblog at hand :

Admin->Weblog Administration->Weblog Management->Edit Groups (Your Weblog Name)->Status Group

Make sure there is a status group selected here.
