I have a website: www.wouk.org with about 1500 PHP pages, and using CSS but not MySQL.

Currently all information resides on my PC (localhost), I work on it with Dreamweaver, and upload it to the target server.

I want to redo the whole site using EE, and later extend it.

I would prefer to work on my PC, and at a specific stage upload to the target site, replacing current content.

Can you please comment, or point me to a discussion of this topic - I have searched and cannot find anything.

There was this thread discussing how to solve issues one faces when moving from localhost to live site.

I suggest working on a local installation, gives you better speed and agility.
