Hello,
I was wanting to test this system out, but the only server i have to test on is a windows box with MS SQL and IIS.

I went through the install ok, it asked for the DB settings, i setup a blank db in MSSQL and gave the installer that info as well as the my admin user/password.

Then the next page is blank.

This is the bottom of the HTML if it helps:

<body>
<
div id='content'>
<
div id='pageheader'>
<
table style="width:100%;" height="50" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0">
<
tr>
<
td style="width:45%;"><img src="./themes/cp_global_images/ee_logo.jpg" width="260" height="80" border="0" alt="ExpressionEngine" /></td>
<
td style="width:55%;" align="right" class="rightheader">Version 1.6.4</td>
</
tr>
</
table>
</
div>

notice no ending HTML tags.

Any suggestions?

Unfortunately, EE doesn’t yet support MS SQL, only MySQL. Are you able to install MySQL on that server?

I installed MySQL 5, and pointed installer to that, still blank page.

I have PHP 5 installed as an ISAPI filter for IIS, if that makes a difference

Sorry, I’m not familiar enough with IIS to help you further troubleshoot. Hopefully, someone else with more knowledge will pop in to help.

Thanks Ryan,

I guess IIS is also not supported, gee instead of half a blank page, it would have nice to see a component list that is not supported, or an error or something.

no biggie, its crossed off the plate, thanks anyway.

It’s not a question of “support”: EE does not require a particular webserver (as opposed to a particular db, namely MySQL), and while I wouldn’t want to do it, personally, a lot of people are using IIS. EE even has a few configurations options for it, so it’s certainly a possibility.
