I’d like to be able to search the forum entries and the weblog entries from one input form as opposed to having to only be able to search the forum when you’re in the forum and only being able to search weblog entries when you’re in the core installation.

Big +1 for this one.  Kind of confusing for users when having two different searches.  It would be nice to be able to have it all in one advanced search page.  Maybe have a checkbox to toggle whether you are searching forums, weblog entries or both.

I would also throw my support behind this feature request.  In the past, I’ve had to turn to Google search and/or custom programming to do this.  While those solutions work, they’re not elegant as a native EE solution would be.

I’m also in need of this functionality.  Especially as for the site I maintain, there are *three* different searches due to the inclusion of another integrated system

Add another big +1 for this feature (+ searching other modules like wiki/gallery). I’d like to see the results page split it up by source with settings for the # of results to display for each particular module.
