September looks like it will be one of those multiple site launch months… we’ve got 2 more sites in “mostly ready” condition.

This site, The Cake Walk, was one of the easiest sites we’ve developed in a long time. First, there was the promise of free cupcakes upon completion, then the owner provided the pleasant surprise of actually having her content prepared! I can’t tell you how nice that was!

The site has our standard suite of add-ons: Freeform, Mark Huot’s file extension, and imgsizer. The gallery and homepage slideshow are javascript.

We’re tweaking the homepage slide show and have to replace the Google directions (it seems they take one the long way to the business), but other than those things, the site is done. Any sharp eyes finding oddities will earn imp karma points.

Oh, yeah…. the cupcakes were AWESOME.

Very nice and appropriate design. One thing - Upcoming Events for the Wedding Show it states 1st September but the show is in January. I realise the entry may have been made on the 1st September but who needs to know that - not visitors! they will want to know the date of the event.

Lovely cakes!

i like, i think it is just the fades on the menu / pink ribbon left and right to show the page edge i do not like. Are they really needed? They seem like they were there from a previous design and then not taken out… without those i cannot pick anything i dislike!!! Nice…

Yeah those fades i’m sure are supposed to look like a fold in the ribbon—maybe try dodge/burning an inch inside and outside for a more 3d effect? Otherwise, killer site!
