Whoa. Quite out of the blue, my site went blank.

I can log in to the control panel. Everything there looks fine.

BUT every page of the website comes up blank. Not a 404 error, just a blank page. When I look at the page source, it’s blank. No HTML. Nothing.

Wierdly, if I load an incorrect url on the site, i do get a 404 error. So EE seems to be serving up pages for valid urls, but all the pages are blank.

Only thing I can think I did since it was running fine (20 mins ago) was install Bad Behavior 2 extension. But I’ve disabled that, and the problem persists.

Help.

Even weirder. 20 minutes later, the pages started coming up again. One at a time. As I attempted to reload various pages from my site in my browser, at first they all came up blank, then one by one the rest started coming back again. At the end I couldnt load the home page, kept coming up like the rest had, blank… then 5 minutes later, it came up correctly.

All is back to normal, but this is not doing much for my confidence in what otherwise seems like a great product…

Aaand the verdict is… Bad Behavior 2 caused this problem. When enabled, the whole site goes blank. When disabled, it slowly comes back to life. Wierd. Probably interacting with one of my other extensions, but no problem with any of them playing well with each other. So beware of Bad Behavior 2.

fogcity, thanks for letting us know about the problems you found with Bad Behavior 2. Since the problem seems to be between Bad Behavior 2 and other extensions, you may want to post in the Extensions forum for further help. Should I move it for you?
