Hi,
the SpellChecker which using google spellcheck dosnt work since 4-5 days. I’m using 1.6.4 spellcheck class.

The data return from Google Spellcheck is alltime false like:

<spellresult error=“0” clipped=“0” charschecked=“18”></spellresult>

Google had changed his parser ?

Greetings,

I have been able to re-create this, and will investigate further tomorrow morning. Thank you for the report.

Right now it seems like a hiccup on Googles end. The workaround is to change line 1189 of core.spellcheck.php (back the file up first)

from

$payload =     '<spellrequest textalreadyclipped="0" ignoredups="1" ignoredigits="1" ignoreallcaps="0"><text>'

to

$payload =     '<spellrequest textalreadyclipped="0" ignoredups="0" ignoredigits="1" ignoreallcaps="0"><text>'

If anyone has Google Toolbar installed, can they check to see if it works for them if you enable the Ignore Unknown Words Appearing Many Times / Ignore Duplicate Unknown Words feature in the spellcheck preferences?

Well it appears that whatever change was made, it’s going to be permanent, so I have updated the files for the next build to work with this sudden change to Google’s API.
