hi

a customer of ours want to have EE for a project.

this project is a «job agency» for students … students can register on the page - after that, they can submit their personal information, submit a application for employment, a photo and grant their job preferences. now, cause not all of these things can be done with custom-profile-fields, maybe this can be done by SAEF and weblogs (a weblog for personal-infos, one for applications, one for the jobs preferences etc.) … well, if the member has the rights to edit his own entries, how can i let the user edit his entires OUTSIDE the ControlPanel? I need to do this via Templates … and, if i’m right, the SAEF is only to post NEW Entries, but not to EDIT some existing Weblog-Entries, right?
If yes, is it possible to do something like that somehow?

Solspace has a plugin called form helper which assists with what you need…

I’ve used it for a few builds and works well.

Ditto iain.  There isn’t a native ‘edit’ equivilant of the SAEF.  But it’s easy enough to do with form helper.  (I’ve used it and some creativity to do some fairly nifty multi-page entry forms as well.)
