I’m using a custom file field (using Mark Huot’s extension) and I uploaded an image to it to begin with and it displayed fine but now when I try to replace the image, it’s still displaying the old image, even if I completely remove the image from the field. I’ve tried clearing caches, is there anything else I should do?

That shouldn’t really be happening. I have used the File extension numerous times and have never ever come across that in my travels. You’re not by any chance using File in conjunction with any sort of Image resizing plugin that caches the output are you?

OK, that’s embarrassing.  I accidentally logged into the wrong control panel (before the site was migrated) and made the change.

Nah, don’t be embarrassed. We all make mistakes every now and then. All part of the learning process I say
