Issues with new design

I have been running EE 1.6.1, and launching a new design this weekend.

I have multiple weblogs all using the same design.  I simply copy and paste templates and then make a few minor changes to the blog name, etc.  I have a couple of blogs where as soon as I change the blog name and nothing else, it screws up the design by shifting everything to the left.

It’s odd because I can cut and paste and then sample the blog to see if it works.  Works fine.  If I simply change the ...assign_variable:my_weblog=“default_site”... to the new blog name, the design gets screwed up.

Because of this, I don’t think it’s a CSS or design issue.  But I could be wrong.

Here’s an example:

Correct:
http://provideocoalition.com/index.php/mcurtis

Now I will copy and paste the template into a new template group for my new blog.  If I only change the blog name and nothing else, I get this:
http://provideocoalition.com/index.php/jrose2

Help would be greatly appreciated as there is my income relies on this site.

Thanks,
Scott

I’m seeing a shift to the right between the two (Safari-Mac). But, there is a difference in the two weblogs where the correct one doesn’t have any images within the blog entries but the new one does, so, they aren’t identical and that could be affecting things.

after about an hour of stupidity, I figured out what the issue is.  Safari shows things fine.  However, there were entries in the offending blogs that placed images in the “body” field larger than our style sheet and design allowed.  Hence the issue.

Glad I finally got it and now I feel stupid.

Live and learn.

Without delving too deep, I figured it was probably the images. Glad you got it working!

Instead of closing this isse as resolved, I’ll move it over to HTML & CSS, where it seeems to belong anyway smile Glad you solved it.
