Our webmaster is using the Expression Engine and I seem to have run into some issues starting last Tuesday. Just to give you a background of our servers, we have 4 webservers. One of them being in our DMZ and accessible from the Internet running Apache 2.2 with PHP 5.2.3. The other 3 Identical Webservers our accessible from the intranet only running Apache 2.2 with PHP 5.2.6. Two of those servers are production and one being used for development.
Okay now to the issue, Expression Engine has been running fine for weeks and suddenly it become very working on our inside servers. The site pages just keep loading they never error out, which I find bizarre. On the admin pages it loads the page in about 60seconds exactly everytime, leading me to believe it’s timing out on some piece of it. I adjusted all the timeouts no changes. I’m mirrored php and apache configs with the Outside server, no change. I’ve recompiled apache and php mirroring the outside server, no change. I’ve tried multiple SQL servers even local, no change.
I have XAMPP running on my local desktop, if I install EE on it it works perfecting either pointing to a local mysql or network one. I can point to a local mysql unplug the network and it still runs perfecting.
I just don’t get it. Am I missing something here. Note I have done multiple fresh installs to pin point the issue. Still nothing.
Mike
