Grrr! IE! Can anyone tip me off how I can solve the problem with the banner in IE7? As expected, it looks fine in Firefox.
Please,
Clive

A link to the site, or any idea of what you’re talking about would be a terrific start!  LOL

I’m going to assume the problem you are referring to is the fact that IE adds extra spacing below the header?

BTW: is there are reason that you are floating almost every element on this page? I get the feeling that may have something to do with IE’s quirky behaviour.

I would recommend you start by fixing the things that are making the page invalid and see if that corrects it.

That page is now valid! I know I should’ve done that earlier.

The float problems is still there, though…

If you put display:inline on div#top, that seems to fix it but I’m currently unsure exactly why as I haven’t had a chance to look at it too much!

Suspect some sort of ‘double margin bug’, but I wasn’t aware this existed on IE7.

I’ve removed the “page_container” and “top” divs and everything seems fine now. Andy was right, but the display is fine without the div, so I may as well remove it. The page-contanier isn’t missed either.
Thanks everyone,
Clive
