On my golf site, I have two weblogs set up. One weblog is for course information (courses weblog) and the second weblog is for individual course reviews (course-spotlight weblog). Whenever I do a review of a course, it will have the same exact title as that corresponding course over in the “courses” weblog.
The problem came up when the Solspace Favorites and Rating module would not work correctly and we’ve discovered it was because the modules were confused on what weblog entry to actually favorite and rate since there were two with the exact same name in the database. Here is the link where we were discussing this: http://www.solspace.com/forums/viewthread/1041/P30/#5689
I’ve fixed the problem for now by simply going into the weblog administration settings and appending a “cs” which stands for “course-spotlight” to all new articles in the course spotlight section so to not get anymore duplicates.
From everything I understand, there shouldn’t be any duplicates allowed in the first place and EE should add a “1,” “2,” “3,” etc., to the end of duplicate url_titles?
