Hello,

I am new to EE and just finished the video tutorial and the QuickStart tutorial (yay!).

I have developed a dummy version of my new website and now I want to insert that design into EE.

Is there any way to store common site elements like the head or the footer in one place, so it can be reused on multiple pages and then updated at the click of button?

So far, I haven’t found a way to do so. Can anybody help?

Thanks a lot…

Hi, Tintin! Welcome to the forums. =)

I’d recommend searching our docs for “Embeds” and “global variables” - you’d be looking at user defined global variables there, and possibly path.php global variables.

Lots of options for you - for a header and footer, I’d go with an embed. =)
