Hi all,

I’ve recently introduced my new Business site, although it’s contents is based on the Dutch language i really would love to hear your input on the overall design.

Currently i’m busy with the quick search functionality that is partially integrated with the site already. If it’s completed i’ll create some kind of writeup on howto get this done in EE.

Address: Greate

Cheers Rutger

Hi Rutger,

Although I don’t understand Dutch I do understand great design when I see it!

Lovely design. Really nice use of white space and colour where needed - fantastic!!

Just one very small thing I did notice was that if you go to any of the menu items with Javascript turned off then they don’t do anything.

Fantastic site though, well done.

Best wishes,

Mark

That’s a shame. I thought that perhaps you could just code it so that say you had this kind of link :

<a href="/design" title="Design">Design</a>

You could perhaps get it so that if Javascript is enabled then it does the nice scroll effect but if javascript isn’t enabled then you would just re-direct as you have done now. Pretty sure that’s possible isn’t it?

Would be great to keep the effect in there for people that do have Javascript as it’s really nice.

Well done again though on a great looking site.

Best wishes,

Mark

You’re right again. Maybe i’ll do that in the future, now the effect is in place but it’ll scroll automatically now. The reason i did this kind a quickly was to lose MooTools and stick only with the jQuery framework too.

Very nice and clean. I like the presentations…very theatrical and crisp photos. I would perhaps consider vertical or fade vs. horizontal slide to ease out on the eyes. But that is just me.
Under the hood, looks pretty clean as Mark said it.
All the best!

Looks a bit…. Apple. Not knocking the design though!

I like the design, the scroll on the front caught me off guard, and actually timed right when I hovered over the navigation, so I thought it was scrolling based on the hover… maybe some notice to let the user know that there is a bit of a “slideshow” on the homepage.

Nice and clean all around though!
