MSM not to use Session Variable

When working on a site using MSM, I have multiple tabs open in Safari (as I usually do for EE). When I switch sites in one tab, it automatically switches sites on all tabs. This might be desirable sometimes, but for me it’s frustrating. Could there be an option to pass it as an URL variable, rather than a “Session” variable.

I could get round the issue by having different browsers for different sites (they wouldn’t share the session), but it’s a nuissance.

As a consequence of the above, I noticed that you can actually view templates from one site, even when you’re in another site (if you have switched sites in another tab, and then updated the template…). So I just had a panic when I thought I’d been editing a template on the wrong site. Turns out I was OK, but the breadcrumb in the CP told me otherwise…. A scary moment! I guess there may be other things in the CP that behave the same?
