I’ve integrated TinyMCE into Expression Engine using the LG TinyMCE Custom Field extension.

All works fine…

...except the fact that I can’t find any TinyMCE plugin for inserting flash video clips (FLV).

The Moxicode Image Manager plugin “almost” works. It seems to recognize FLV files. Even provides the preview, but doesn’t insert properly (it inserts FLV file location into a SRC attribute of an IMG tag?!).

Has anyone solved this one?

I wouldn’t put too much weight in to TinyMCE.  Its only meant to help you with text editing.

Try using a custom field and inserting your flv path there.  Then pull the flv path via the custom field in to a template.

Im experiencing the same issue. I cant seem to embed youtube vids in tinyMCE field.

I’d advise you not to.  Just create a custom field just for your videos.

Actually you can; I’ve just done it on a site I’ve finished working on but you need the VideoPlug extension and then you just paste these into your TinyMCE editing window:
