I’m trying to edit the message:
“The form you submitted contained the following errors”, which I believe is in lang.core.php.

However, after adding new text and submitting the form, the new text doesn’t show up on the front end! You should know that I’m using Solspace’s User module to register the users. I’ve also tried clearing the EE cached files.

Any ideas?

If anyone can help me with this I’d really appreciate it. I’m supposed to be launching a danish language site today and all the EE messages are in english still. Changing stuff in the lang files doesn’t appear to make a difference!

I’m using MSM as well if that makes a difference.

Cheers

Pie Man from Solspace pointed me in the direction of lang.myaccount.php so I’ve changed some of the entries on there.

Guess what? It doesn’t make any difference to what’s displayed on the website? Is there a setting I’m missing somewhere? Is this a problem specific to the Multiple Site Manager?

Any help would again be much appreciated.

Could this be an Expression Engine bug? I can’t see how this could be as it’s surely a much used feature. However, it isn’t working for me at all and my client is starting to really question my choice of using EE!

To clarify my setup:

- EE version 1.6.3
- MSM
- Solspace User module

The site I’m working on is 100% danish language - apart from 100% of the EE messages.

This is the first time I’ve ever had zero response to a post - I’m surprised.

Where is Lisa or Ingmar when you need them most? In the past when I’ve had a problem I’ve always posted on the forum and had a reply very quickly. I’ve also assumed that this is the official route to product support, but perhaps I’m wrong.

If anyone from EE sees this can you please let me know the official route for product support?

Thanks

Jim
PS I still love you guys, despite it being very, very lonely in here!

The How To forum is for community related support on customizations.  The Technical Support forums are for official support on how ExpressionEngine works or if you think it may not be working as it should.

I’m going to move this to Technical Support as this is the appropriate place for it.

Have you actually setup your account to use the new language pack?  See these docs.

Thanks Lisa. As we want to keep the CP in english and only have certain messages to users in danish I didn’t think a language pack was necessary.

What I’m doing instead is going to Admin > Utilities > Translation Utility > lang.myaccount.php (and I’ve tried editing other files as well and haven’t seen any effect so far).

Not sure if I can attach a screenshot to this post, but I’ll try. This is what I’m seeing when editing lang.myaccount.php

Thanks

Jim

If you’re making any translations, it’ll be created as a language pack.  You needn’t translate it all.

Editing it there won’t change anything, it’ll simply create the language pack itself.  Have your read the docs on the translation utility?
