After many months of planning to make the move I’ve finally moved my site from MT to ExpressionEngine. The “design” is simple to say the least, however everything is now so much easier to manage and customise. I spent many months before this working on customer sites with EE for my previous employer, and now that I’ve moved on I’ve kept using EE because it’s so good.

Now that the site is live I’ve also released a script I use to transform the database when moving from an EE site from development to live. It makes all of the updates required to an EE database to change the domain and web path over for the move, successfully dealing with serialised data in tables as well. I’ve explained the script (and made it available for download) at my site

I think I’ll have a rest now :)
