Haven’t had my opportunities to check out my site in legacy browsers, and was wondering whether or not anyone can recommend any portable app versions of browsers, such as Internet Explorer 5/6, Opera 8’s and lowers, and Mozilla Firefox 1 and 2.

I’m aware of PortableApps.com, but that’s obvious I suppose. Any other places? Furthermore, what do you all do to check cross-browser consistency? Is there some hidden gem application that streamlines the process?

I’d use VMWare, but I just think it’s overkill for such a task.

There are also versions of IE 5.5, 6.0 & 7.0 for OSX using Darwine that you can use too if you wish. Pretty sure they render as a PC would. Browsershots is definitely something work taking a look at though.
