Hi all!

I’m brand new here to the forums but I’ve been using EE for awhile so I’m guessing it’s about time I’d made an appearance

Anyways, I have a question regarding the “User Message Template” under Speciality Templates.

Is there a way to modify these messages it outputs? For example, I want to modify the message the user gets on the “Registration Complete” page.

Now it says something with “You are now registered and logged-in…”. But I have a site where users are only suppose to register and never interact/login to the actual site. Then it would be nice to modify that message.

Is it do able? If so which “core” file do I need to edit?

Hee- welcome to the fun side of things.  The user messages are generally handled by the module the message comes from- so they aren’t all in one spot.  The registration one is coming from the member module- so check in system/language/english/lang.member.php, just tweak the message being shown.  It sounds like:

But you should spot the ones you want to change in there.  Just be sure to keep it updated when you upgrade.
