In the changelog I’ve read:

Added a preference that permits every instance of the word “weblog” in the control panel to be changed to something else, like “section”. This is valuable with corporate clients who are using EE as a CMS.

I’m too stupid to find that preference! Any idea?

If you’re in the beta you should have a new email to update to the latest beta copy.  After you’ve followed those instructions, the preference is in Admin - > General Config, entitled “Section Designation by Word”.

As an EE CMSer, I have to commend pM for adding this feature. In 1.0 I had gone through all the lang files and changed “weblog” to “section” manually.

In the process I realized that there were many cases in which it was better simply to remove the word “weblog” than to replace it with “section”. Especially when the original context was the phrase “weblog entries”, which sounded better as just “entries”. Fortunately, I can still edit the language files manually in these cases.

I noticed some places where EE added ‘s’ to the section designation word to pluralize it. Depending on the word chosen, this could be a problem if the plural is formed in a different way (e.g. by adding ‘es’ instead of ‘s’). Might be better just to make it a choice between ‘weblog’ and ‘section’ so you can assure correct grammar and spelling.
