That’s too funny Lisa!

You know, thinking about it… It’s seems really crazy to just ask, but we’ve all heard the phrase “You get what you ask for” and in my experience it is TRULY AMAZING what you can get by just asking. There is some sort of cosmic magic that comes into play when you ask for something.

I’ve been surprised again and again in my life by the opportunities that have been afforded me (that when I think about it, I should by all rights not have been qualified for or even considered for) simply because I asked.

That being said, I haven’t asked for anything for free, it was always in exchange for something, usually a lot of work.

Anyway, here goes…

Put me on the list with Lisa for a Ferrari. I too am really intested with Ferrari but don’t have money to buy it. Will gladly accept Porsche Turbo Carrera if you run out of Ferrari’s.

Cheers

Well… I would like a roommate with a castle. I mean c’mon Paul, you’re going to need someone around to agree with you when you proclaim repeatedly, day after day, “Who’s the man with the castle?”.

Ah… we could go on and on…

hahahaha nothing new in this thread, recently was asked by someone in China for a free dedicated server with unlimited bandwidth and a dedicated 24/7 support person for their “important” project…but we have no money…  it was CCed to sales at about two dozen hosting companies… did not feel special on that one so did not reply…

Yesterday was asked for unlimited e-mail accounts with 500megs of storage for each account ON a dedicated e-mail server, but they also have no money, but was important for a big e-mailing for their “group”...oh and they had no money…  I replied by sending them the press release on GMail from Google and told them to wait until it was released to the public…

But while we are asking for things… I am really interested in this, but no money I am afraid… anyone interested in donating? wink

Hey Nevin,

I live in Vancouver, so if you get lucky (the island, I mean) I’ll pop over and visit you as your new island will be “a short commute away by airplane, helicopter…”.

Yup, it’s who you know.

Hey, Paul, the island is very large, so we could put up your castle with no problem at all… I wonder if the water is deep enough to dock that aircraft carrier I was looking at before?  Hmmm…

And Robert, of course, of course, I figure the golf course would be a great way for people to relax when they come to install co-located servers in our new data center on the other end of the island wink hmmm a marketing and promotional write off wink

Since were asking, I wan’t something I once had many years ago, that my wife will no longer let me have.

“Could someone please send me a Peanut Butter & Jelly sandwich.”
I’ll be your friend for life.

Just make sure you wrap it in a 2004 Volkswagen Jetta.

Dude- I just want an avatar!  Paul and Nevin get them- where’s mine?!?!?!  Nifty- where’d those come from?  (Wander’s off to design an avatar- preferably featuring me on my own private island.  In a Ferrari.  Holding a peanut butter sandwich!)

Ah- I forgot about the castle because I was pondering what it is that Amex is no longer getting.  I (wisely) decided not to go there in my imaginary avatar.  But my castle- it’s very cool!

I’ve finally decided on what I want.

I want a real-live-working light-saber preferably the color would be electric purple. Oh an of course I want to be able to use the force in order to properly wield it against evil-doers.
