I’m trying to display related gallery entries for the profiles (in other words display photos of that person) but for two of the profiles it displays a lot of other (tagged) images which aren’t related.

I’d setup a test page, because there’s a lot going on there.  Put the same tags you’re using to show the single image plus the related stuff on the test template.  Don’t worry about style or anything else.  I’d also show the tags of the related entries- will make it easier for me to ‘get’ what’s up.

Once the test page is up- and we’re sure that it’s replicating the behavior- link us to the test page and post the code you’re using to generate it.

Also- what version of EE and of the Tag module are you running?
