Check out the Processing.js geek project preview from John Resig, he’s got javascript combined with the Processing program language doing some cool things.
Don’t miss the demo links part way down the page for all the flavors:

  * 4 custom “in the wild” demos.
There’s even a plug in there for downloading the Firefox Beta 3 browser, since I guess these demos just redline your system resources. Some of these demos are a Flash-like as can be. Weekend…

Let me see if I understand this correctly…  John wrote an API in JavaScript to parse and implement something called “Processing visualization language”?  Looks like he manages to make these animations work in FF, Opera, and Webkit (which I think means Safari) by way of the <canvas> tag.

I’d like to think I’ve become a pretty decent JS programmer, but this dude has forgotten more than I’ll ever know.

Canvas is just a tag, the “Joe” knows… hey if he knocks out some stuff we all can copy and paste, then we can all look like genius’s. My I.q.‘s over 21, so it gets me in some places.
