I am in the process of developing a site for a non-profit.  I am considering using EE.

I would like to purchase a license for EE on behalf of the non-profit.  I will be developing their site and transferring the site and license to them when the development in complete.

Question:  Can I purchase the Personal/Non-Profit license for $99 or do I need to purchase the Commercial $249 license?

Thanks,
Marsha (Marsha Web Design)

Hi, Marsha, welcome to the forums! -

As a developer, when you purchase for a client, you base the license on the intent of the client’s site.  As this is a non-profit, the non-profit/personal license is perfect.

And by purchasing it on your account, you’ll be able to take advantage of the Volume discount Program when you use ExpressionEngine in the future.  For transferring the license later, just email sales.

Post back if you have any other questions. =)
