Does anyone have experience migrating a forum from dotnetBB (2.42EC SP3) to EE, or ideally, are there any existing tools or individuals providing this service?

I didn’t recall that one being mentioned before, and a quick search of the forum and the wiki didn’t reveal any additional info on it.  There are a number of threads on phpBB imports- and a wiki entry on that one.  Reading over it might give you an idea of what would be involved.

If you’re interested in hiring someone to do the migration for you, I’d suggest contacting members of the pro network and/or asking on the job board on this forum.

Just opened an EE trial so that I could dig in the EE forum schema and see how difficult (or easy!) it would be to do this. Unfortunately, my access to the tables under Admin > Utilities > Manage Database Tables is blocked.

Is there another way for me to explore EE’s database structure before purchase?
