I’d like to make my style sheet easier to manage (it’s gotten too big), so I thought I’d break it into smaller templates and then use “embed” to pull them together.  But the simple embed function doesn’t seem to work in my css template.

Am I doing anything wrong?  Is there an easier way to approach this problem?

It depends on how you are calling your stylesheet. If you use the {stylesheet} variable, most of the EE tags will not work, because the template is no run through the EE parser. If you do user {path} however, they will, including global variables and embeds. Does that help?
