A colleague and I have both had chunks of code deleted from the ends of template files (and css files) from our mounted ExpanDrive’s. Both on different machines and different servers (although both EngineHosting servers).

Has anyone else has this problem?

No problems here glad to say and using this on servers that have content online so would notice problems probably straight away if they were happening.

None of the servers I am on are EngineHosting though. Don’t know if that has anything to do with it though. I wouldn’t have thought so. Have you given a heads up to the development team of ExpanDrive via their forums?

Hope you get that sorted pretty soon.

Best wishes,

Mark

Yikes - that’s scary.

I had that happen to me a few times in the previous versions but it hasn’t happened in a long time.  It was an odd issue though and I was unable to repeat it at all.  The dev is actually offering a free iPod to anyone who can come up with steps to reproduce it reliably.

EDIT:  Also meant to add that I had a similar problem with Transmit where if the SFTP session gets dropped while I’m editing a file (happens more than I like using Transmit and EngineHosting servers) and I save it and then close the file Transmit decides to overwrite that file the next time I connect.  Only it overwrites the file with a blank one.  I wanted to scream the first couple of times before I realized what was going on.

Jamie - that drives us up the wall too!  Glad to see it happens to other people… (well, not glad that you’re having files overwritten obviously, but… you know what I mean!)

Just a note. TinkerTool will let you see hidden files.

I love it. =)

I’ve noticed that a couple times. I can’t recall the hows or whys but I think it had something to do with a session being interrupted somehow. I try to not keep too many files open at once.
