Is there any way to limit the entries that are available by a relationship field by user?

So we have a weblog ‘teams’, and another weblog with a relationship field populated by all the teams entries.
Then I want to be able to have a member group ‘team1’, and the only team they see (or are allowed to select), would be ‘team1’

Is this at all possible, maybe with an SAEF?  Not sure if this one is feature request or not.

This is not possible out of the box. Y ou could put in a feature request.  If you need this more immediately, a custom extension may be your best option.

You’re suggesting I make an extension or is there something similar out there already?

I’m not aware of a currently existing extension, so this would be one you’d need to create. =)
