I would love that EE had Booking System -module. By that users could book their coming to parties, events and more. And even to future EE-meetings from this site.

Thinking out loud, I don’t see any reason that weblogs couldn’t accomplish this.  Perhaps describe in detail what you are specifically needing that cannot be accomplished with the current toolset.

I was thinking something like this:
Community X is having a meeting that lasts over the weekend (fri-sun) lets say 12-14.12.2020.

Ok, you want to book a place cos you want to go there and you want to be sure that you get a “room”. Community X has said that only 50 can come, so you think that you book your place now.

But you only want to be there saturday. So you need to make your booking only to 13.12.2020.

Time goes by and suddendly you notice that you cant go there. So you can remove your booking from the very same place where you first booked your “room”.

Booking system-module also calculates how much “rooms” there are left and so on. And you can create these meetings by creating new “booking”. It shows you the dates, how many are coming, how many “rooms” are open, calendar and the text you have written when you were creating this meeting.

onlinebooking-kinda-thing?
You would use it if you are a member of some association and they hire for free cameras,  cottages, autos or what ever they have to offer to their community members. You could see if that Mercedes is available next weekend because you could use if cos you have a date with wonderful women and you want to drive hew home with that Mercedes…and so on.

Get the point what im after with this idea?

Yep, thank you.  The more details you can provide with a feature request, the better.  From your first post, I was thinking of something quite a bit differenct.

The site’s in swedish though. If you want to see the booking system go to “Resor” -> “Badgastein v9” -> “Mer info / Boka”.
Please note that you can only place a booking once, then the form is hidden, so please don’t in case anyone else wants to see the form!

This is set up so that the admin creates a trip using a weblog. In the template displaying the weblog entry the form is embedded, with all the variables (prices, options) as well as logged-in user info, being sent to the form using embedded variables.
The reason it’s embedded is because otherwise the form would display the user info belonging to the user who created the weblog entry.

When a user places a booking a confirmation email is sent with all the registrered info and selections.
Please note that the scripts a friend compiled for me to calculated the price sum of all selections appears not to be working in Safari, if anyone of you happens to know why, please speak up now, or forever hold your peace
