I assume you might post here with any details about where you’ll be?

I just got my hotel and flight all squared away two nights ago. I’m pretty close to the convention center. Never been to SXSW before, and I’m really looking forward to meeting everyone EllisLab, as well as any other folks I know from these forums.

For anyone remotely interested, I’m getting into Austin on the 7th, and leaving on the 12th.

While we can’t, unfortunately, transport the party to Australia we will make all the presentations and information released at SXSW available online after the event. So while we’ll miss meeting you in person rest assured you’ll have all the info available shortly after SXSW finishes. And I’m sure people will blog and/or post in the forums about it as well.

We have a conference room reserved at the convention center for SXSW and as soon as we know details like the room number and location we’ll make sure to post about it. In other words, the “convention center’ mentioned on the sxsw 08 page is referring to the same convention center that SXSW 08 Interactive takes place at.

Ah good stuff… Will this include a sneak peak of 2.0 for the rest of us?

Perhaps I should pull a Moxie and send you a nice present to say thank you for the great software and support!

Hmmm you could send a case of VB and some meat pies from down your way, that would likely go a long aways towards a good bribe errr present for us wink

I don’t think Customs would allow the meat pies but I can definitely do better than VB smile

VB is not imported to the US unfortunately :(

Am I nuts or is there supposed to be a form there on that page to RSVP for events? Viewing source shows a form, but I can’t see it on the page. Using FF2/Mac. And yes, I just logged in!

You have to login into Ellislab.com using the login form on the camp.ellislab.com page. You can use a ExpressionEngine.com or CodeIgniter.com account to login, but you have to login on the EllisLab.com domain to see the RSVP form, which is at the bottom of the page.

Right...I logged in right on this page - you know, a little login form appeared...I logged in. I can see the form in the source code, just not on the page. Trying in Safari.

OK, just tried in Safari. Same thing. I reveal the login form (looks like jQuery under the hood..cool), and login. I get the standard EE “you are now logged in” alert page, and get sent back to camp.ellislab.com. Now there’s a big empty white space under the RSVP header! What the?! Is this a message from beyond? An omen?

Also, from the links in the footer on that page:

Contact Us: throws 404
Privacy Policy: missing some styles and/or graphic(s)
Trademarks: also missing some styles and/or graphic(s)

Now I can’t log log out (I don’t think) to try again. I’m chatting with someone else who can see the form OK. This is odd.

UPDATE: Deleted all Firefox cookies for ellislab.com and tried again...still can’t see the form. *sigh*

Let’s see… fly down to SXSW or stay in Lincoln for the birth of my son… ah, the choices we must make.

Seriously though, the whole thing sounds awesome, and I’ll definitely be checking out the posted presentations, etc. Unless, you know, I’m in the delivery room or something. smile

*cough cough* someone forgot to update the permissions on the form so that the Pro Net could see it. For shame, for shame!

You should be all set now.

If anyone needs any help for anything here in Austin in advance, or recommendations about what to see and do (and eat) here, PM me.
