Do you mean have separate “Notes” information associated with each entry?  If so, then just create a new Custom Field for it and don’t display the content anywhere.

Or do you mean have a single “publish notes” field where whatever you put in there would appear for each and every entry on the Publish screen?

The latter. Basically to have the same notes field we have in the Control Panel Home or My Account realm.

Just as a note, totally not having to do anything with EE:  There are a *ton* of programs for both Windows and Mac that let you set up system-wide user definable macros.  I use it Typeit4Me for the Mac and find it invaluable.

You may want to look into one. =)

I’m aware of and use such stuff, but access to the notes field would provide easy cut and paste access/reference to stuff used only in the context of creating or modifying Web entries.
