We are on version 1.6, Build 20070918 - We created a new member group called “Admin” and under File Upload Preferences we set it so Admin member groups can upload files. We also doubled checked that it was set to all file types.

Still everytime we try to upload a file we click upload and get the following error:

The file you are attempting to upload has invalid content for its MIME type.

However, if I jump in as a Super Admin I can upload the same file just fine.

What can I do?

This is the XSS sanitizing, you can turn that off in the Admin; which you’ll need to do to allow that upload, it seems.  Admin ›  System Preferences ›  Security and Session Preferences: Apply XSS Sanitizing to uploaded files?

Set it to no.
