Hi all,

Would it be possible to update the Textile plugin to the latest revision?  The current plugin is Textile 2.0.0 r2462 but is causing me big problems with unordered lists (a known issue confirmed on the Textile forums, that arises in conjunction with a version of PHP).

The issue is apparently solved with the latest revision (plain text version).

I’ve tried incorporating the new Textile class into the current pi.textile.php but no matter what I try I either get unprocessed text or a blank page.

I’m actually desperate to resolve this as I’ve just launched a high profile site today, on the same day my host decided to upgrade PHP - aaarrrrggghh!!!

Any help very (very, very, very) much appreciated smile

Hi Dave,

Try this…. I’ve quickly jobbed it up so not tested it all. It’s running on a development site and seems to be ok.

Cheers

YES!

Thank. You. So. Much.

Maybe this could replace the version in the main plugin download area?  Working a treat for me here.

Thanks, thanks, and thanks again : )

Hi there,
How’s the newer textlier2670 working for you guys? Any problems?

When I try to do this:
“New in Textile 2.0 is the ability to store long ugly urls outside of the text you’re working in, and reference them with aliases of your choosing.”

It doesn’t seem to work with the old version Textile 2.0.0 r2462. (The entry field is set to Textile.)

I will give this textile2670 a try. Thanks for putting it together.

The new version of the Textile plugin is working great for me, have it in action on 4 sites now with no problems whatsoever.

Thanks for the update! Any chance of getting this in the plugins directory?

How does a plugin make it into the directory - is it a case of submitting and waiting?

you must follow the ‘developer guidelines’ to a tee. Then submit, confirming compliance with guidelines.

Hi,
i am pretty new to EE but know Textile (i love Textile, it´s simple and fast) very well.

Now i like to use Textile for comments on a blog. I downloaded the new textile file from above and threw it into the plugin folder.
I enclosed comments:

<textarea name="comment" tabindex="1" id="kommentarfeld">{exp:textile}{comment}{/exp:textile}</textarea>

This works… though i still get one pair of

<p> </p>

tags in the comment textarea.
How can i get rid of those?

BTW: Textile Reference Manual can be found on thresholdstate.com
and the newer Textile Generator here:
textile.thresholdstate.com

I’ve downgraded my Textile version to 2640 now because I’m using PHP version 5.2.6, but I’m still having the same problems with lists.

Anyone have an update on this problem?

Cheers
