I’m having a problem similar to the one described here.

In the home page of my site, if you go to the second page, and then back to the first page using the pagination links (< Página anterior / Página siguiente >) you get a 404 error. The link with the error points to /P0.

We removed index.php with .htaccess. This site uses EE 1.6.0, build 20070708.
I’m using {auto_path} for the links, as described in the documentation.

Is this a bug, or a problem in my template?

Thank you!

Nell, if you put back in index.php, you don’t have the problem, right?

You’re a few builds behind. Any chance of you upgrading to the newest build?

Hi Sue,

Thank you for your prompt answer. We haven’t tried putting index.php back as the site is in operation right now, we’ll try that and upgrade to the latest build and let you know what happens.

Thanks!

Hey Nell.  Its very likely the htaccess.  If you go directly to http://comiquero.com/index.php/P0/ it works.  If you are using the Include Method from this wiki article, but sure you have “P[0-9]{2,8}” in the rules, as it allows pagination to work.

That’s probably it! Thanks for the hand, Derek. I so rarely use that method, myself.

Hi Derek, thanks for answering!

We have it that way in our htaccess:

RewriteCond $1 ^(comics| (many other directories separated by pipes) |P[0-9]{2,8}) [NC]

I found out it works fine if you use /P00 instead of /P0 (heh).

We’ll do more tests later and I’ll report what I find.

Derek, Sue, thanks again!

Problem Solved. We changed the last conditional to: P[0-9]{1,8}, to make it search for “one to eight numerical characters” after the “P”, instead of “two to eight”.

Thanks for your help!
