I get the following error:

Warning: exif_read_data(IMG_2758.JPG) [exif_read_data]: Process tag(x0000=UndefinedTa): Illegal format code 0x0000, suppose BYTE in /<cut for privacy>/plugins/pi.exif.php on line 222

Warning
: exif_read_data(IMG_2758.JPG) [exif_read_data]: Illegal IFD offset in /<cut for privacy>t/plugins/pi.exif.php on line 222

in my gallery.

Is this the correct forum for this question?

I’m not sure- I don’t spot the code in the standard EE files.  Are you using an extension or plugin?  And if so- how?  Is it showing the error on the frontend when you view your entries- which are perhaps wrapped inside a plugin that would read exif data?

Ah- as it’s a third party plugin (and I’m not up on it) I’m going to shift this over to the ‘Plugins’ forum and tweak the title a bit.  You might also want to double check you’re running the latest version of the plugin- and if you are, contact the author and give them a heads up on the error.

Make sense?

Hi Erin,

I’ve picked up on your cry for help just now. I’ll look into things shortly. But first: sleep. It’s 00:35 here in the Netherlands. smile

FYI…I am getting all the EXIF data, in addition to the errors. Not sure if that helps you.

This seems to be a PHP bug, but that report says that it is fixed in 5.2.1. I am running PHP 5.2.3 but I still see this.

Any thoughts?

OK, this seems to be a Canon issue. I found another EXIF library that reads the fine, so I am going to go with that.

Thanks
