——————————————————————————————————————————

A simple extension inspired by Ryan Masugas Add Sitename Extension.

This extension allows you to add any html and css to the Expression Engine administration header including images, flash or any other html element.

The extension comes with default settings that adds a light grey piece of text with the sites name to the header. There is only two settings, ‘XHTML’ and ‘CSS’.

XHTML is added to the left of the existing Expression Engine link

The extension will also replace any instance of {site_name} with the sites current name in the XHTML setting. This is useful for distinguishing a dev site.

Example: {site_name} (Dev) or {site_name} Stage 1.

The content of the CSS setting is added to the <head> of the admin.

If you are unfamiliar with CSS please use Ryans extension as it has many predefined style settings.

Do you happen to have a screen-grab showing it?

I added a couple of screen grabs to my first post. Its just the default styling but as it is css and xhml you could have anything.

This extension is bloody superb, and has sailed into my list of ‘must have extensions for ALL ExpressionEngine projects’. Thanks again LG, top man!

Leevi,

Just tested this out and it’s great. Slight error in the documentation though I think? You have said :

“The XHTML setting has one special variable leevigraham.com which is replaced by the name of the current site.”

but I think it should possibly say :

“The XHTML setting has one special variable {site_name} which is replaced by the name of the current site.”

Just thought you should know.

Fantastically useful extension though. wink

Best wishes,

Mark

Leevi, in your screenshots you show a fully branded CP header.  Is that done solely through this extension or is it a combination of a custom CP theme and this?
