I currently have a site that has the following structure -

template group/template/category indicator/category/entry

But my search results point to this…

template group/template/entry

...as it is based on the Weblog URL

It would be good if I could use {auto_path} and also add the category that the entry belongs to in the URL so it reflects the first URL above.

Ok, so don’t use {auto_path} - as per the docs, nearly all of the weblog entries variables are available to the search resuls, so you can build your links however you please… =)

For what you want you’ll need the links inside of the categories variable pair.

I did try that but my URL end up like this -

template group/template/entry/category/

All depending on what is in Weblog URL under Weblog Management.

I’ve tried every permutation like path= etc but no luck. It just puts the entry id at the end of what I put in the Weblog URL.

I noticed that the Knowledgbase has the same problem as me in that the left hand navigation is highlighted when showing a bunch of stuff under the category but as soon as you go to an entry, the highlighting disappears. Probably done to ensure compatibility with the search output.

If I am wrong I’d love to hear it!!

I need code, code, and more code.  Well, just some code.  Wanna go post this in how-to and I’ll make sure to help you explore the currently available options?
