So, how is that better/different than saying “it will be ready when it’s ready” (incidentally, that’s true for EE 2.0 as well.)

Because it will stop people thinking it will be released soon. Well it was just a thought. I think there is value in letting people know that it needs to be tied into a new EE architecture (conjecture).

Rick...A commerce system, when you consider everything it needs to do, from shipping, to collecting tax (the state of New York alone has a couple hundred different tax rates), to discounts, to coupons, to financial reporting, to integration with all the different credit card processing gateways, to management of products, to security, etc., is really a large software application in its own right.

Having been through one, I can attest to that. It’s mind boggling.
