There are many jokes about “Web 2.0” and one of the funniest is concerning the fact that Beta has become the new status for releasable software.  Betas used to be internal and useful for fixing the last few problems in software.  No longer!  It is released to the public and they get to experience it.  Seems the speed of development is simply not fast enough so we have to start releasing software sooner than before.  One can only hope that with the inevitable “Web 3.0” bubble (boom?) that Alpha does not become the new Beta.  On the flip side, in that scenario ExpressionEngine 1.6 would have been released over a month ago and I could be on vacation right now.

continue…

If I had a pair of bricks on me, I’d be banging them together right about now.

So Delta is casual sex followed by one of the parties disappearing in the morning, right?

Well Arden considering the positive side of Delta at least you had a taste of the product… Paul, we all agree it’d be nice to see you on vacation soon as we’d like to upgrade before summertime… But we also know you can’t work more than 24 hours a day.

Well no, not personally, but it’s one of the biggest clichés of cinema, so in that sense I’m quite familiar with it. cool smirk

EDIT:  That is… I’ve had… well, nevermind, forget it.

I hereby proclaim ExpressionEngine to be Omega!

There.  Can we all go on permanent vacation now?

But I’m already on permanent vacation!  If EE starts using Cyrillic, will that net me a job?

Actually this is just another “back to roots” movement wink

I remember ten years ago some kind of “under construction”-sign or -notice seemed to be an almost mandatory element on every website you stumbled upon.

If ExpressionEngine is the Alpha AND the Omega…. I’d say we’re in for a LONG vacation. ;P
