This is a big public thank you to John Fuller for all the official help and assistance he’s provided to the ExpressionEngine and CodeIgniter communities as part of our Technical Support Specialist team.

Unfortunately the “College Beast” has reared its head to battle John and he must return his attention to that particular adventure. Fortunately John’s promised to continue his enthusiastic support for the EllisLab Communities and be his usual helpful self here when he can. Drop him a note of thanks when you get a chance.

Read entry.

Ah, the dreaded College Beast. I remember my battles with it. I’m glad it no longer stalks me.

Best of luck, John, and thanks for all the help you’ve given.

Thanks guys, I have been wearing too many hats lately.  Between school, EE support, Tuesday night meetups with the ladies of the southside crochet club and other activities I was stretched thin.  I wasn’t able to keep a high bar in all of them so unfortunately I have to become a regular joe again in the EE community so that I can focus on other things.  Now that summer is here I am going to take a vacation and then lots of summer school.  I have also been gearing up for a study abroad program in Taiwan for the following semester.  For now, time to go fishing, spend some time in Glacier national park, chase cars with the dog and make plans for learning Mandarin on the crazy island of Taiwan.  So for now I say 再见!

Does this mean the return of “ManofSteel”?

You have provided so much help to so many. I wonder how many, like myself, have learned form your wisdom, merely by lurking?

Best of luck John.

I some ways I envy you! Except ... for the “actually having to study and worry about it” parts. Been there, done that, and it’s all decades behind me now.

Your summer plans and Taiwan trip sound fantastic. I’m sure you’ll have a blast and be wildly successful.

All the best, John!

Wow, I didn’t know I had so many fans.  cheese

The line for well wishers and praise givers starts to the left.  Please, don’t crowd.  Punch and snacks are on the way!

As Vinnyio mentioned, I am not disappearing completely.  I am probably going to focus more on development so maybe I will have other forms of contributions.  For some reason I always get too busy to have the free time to build my own projects.  All I can do is get jealous while helping other people troubleshoot their own.

PX, the best thing about studying Coeds is that the tuition is free!  I have been on a Computer Science track at the University of Montana but I have been seriously considering a two week general studies degree from Bill and Ted’s Most Excellent Univeristy of Nigeria.
